From the Zoo
To the Pulpit!

A Call to Nature!

From the Zoo to the Pulpit is made up of a compilation of real-life events, which not only lead to various animal adventures, but also to adventures of self-discovery and ultimately toward the greatest adventure of all; serving the Lord Jesus Christ, for whom all things were created!

The stories tell how, through nature, a young boy would develop and grow into a man who not only has a deep love for animals but where in turn, the animals he loves would teach him valuable lessons of life!

The events are written recollections of memories, conversations, and adventures, combined with theological thoughts and animal information, through years of study, hands-on experience, and the immeasurable help of others. They chart my journey through the common struggles of humanity, the discovery of learning disabilities and autism, the battle with shame and weakness, towards a new strength in Christ, and a growing hope of a bright future!

My hope is for each one of us to encourage and inspire others, especially those with autism and /or any form of learning difference or disability to pursue the things of God without hindrance!

And finally that alongside our responsibility to reach the lost for Christ, we all develop a deeper understanding of the world in which we live so that we might strive to do more within our God-given roles as stewards in helping conserve and protect the abundance of spectacular fauna and flora within God's beautiful world.

So as I share a few of the adventures of my life with Jesus and with animals, I hope that after reading them, you will draw closer to Him and look afresh at animals remembering that they bring glory and praise to God. That you might take time to listen to them and to learn from them - and that you too may have a call to nature!

'Some people talk to animals.
Not many listen though.

That's the problem.'

(A.A. Milne)
