The Animal Santuary Dream?

A Call to Nature!

I have long had a dream to start an animal rescue sanctuary, where people of all ages who have autism, learning differences or any form of disability and their families can come along, where they can grow in confidence, learn life skills, interact with rescued animals and learn to care for them in a fun and joy-filled environment. My dream is to have a place where they can be accepted for who they are in an environment that is specifically set up for them, where they can come and add their own unique gifting to the project.

My idea also includes, within the centre, a fresh expression of church, where Christian families especially including those with special needs are able to attend in the confidence that we understand that just getting there each day is a massive step in itself; and that they and their children are warmly embraced.

It would be a place where, together, we can all grow in faith and love and where we can strive as a family of God to live our lives in the fullness that Jesus has for each one of us.

I have an idea and a plan for this, which I have been praying over for many years, but so far it has not yet materialised. Maybe it is just a dream? Or, maybe it is a prompting from God? I don’t know. All I do know is that I don’t have all the necessary requirements or giftings to start this project alone. But I also know that, if God is in it, then it will happen!

If you feel that you would like to get involved or if you have land or ideas for funding the project, please do drop me an email I would love to hear from you and to prayerfully explore things together!

In the love of Jesus
